Angoan Aashram

Mrs. Priya Dange, a nurse by profession, was involved in a legal dispute related to a domestic issue, which was ongoing in the court. She had two daughters, aged five years. Due to her job and frequent court visits for the legal case, she found it challenging to look after her daughters properly. Concerned about their well-being, she decided to place them in a shelter home.

She sought assistance from Stree Sakhi Charitable Trust for this matter. Through the trust, arrangements were made to admit her two daughters to the Anagao Shelter Home, at Angaon, BHiwandi.

According to government regulations, admission to primary education begins at the age of six. Since her daughters were younger, they were denied admission to the district council school. However, under the shelter’s regulations, only school-going girls were allowed admission. Therefore, the organization facilitated their admission to a private school by providing a donation of Rs. 10,000, ensuring the girls’ education while also arranging for their stay at the shelter home.
